Comments: Enjoyed your page and history. I was a Lt. with the 25th from 1971 to 1974. Served with 1/14 and Medical Battalion. Have great respect for those who served in Nam and previous wars. In peacetime all we had was combat football, which we in the Medical Battalion enjoyed by winning the Division title, to the chagrin of the combat battalions! To those of you serving currently, my sympathies are with you in having as our commander-in-chief the epitomy of sleeze and dishonesty - Bill Clinton. I hope the lesson of his disgraceful example is not lost on the next generation. The men who fought and died for this country did so, so that we could live free and honorable lives. They were the true examples. If this nation continues to accept evil men and women as leaders, we will become no better than the Iraq's, Bosnia's, and other nighmare places on the earth. If the US ceases to be good, it will cease to be great! May we live worthly to actually have "God Bless America!"

My father was in the army and was in the Vietnam war he doesn't have much time left considering his 50th birthday is coming up in the next few months. This is a big project for me and I just may write a book ( my dad's story) kind of a tribute to my dad... Most of his things are lost and gone in fact the government denies his even being there in some of the places.. Most of his time was in Cambodia, along the border as well as Cu Chi, Nui Ba Den and also the Ho Chi Minh Trail and several other places ..I think thats how you spell all of those names. He was in the 25th infantry 2nd battalion 12th Infantry, Echo company his insignia. is the tropical lighting AKA electric strawberry. His name is Paul A. Cox. Any information that you may have for me any at all would be very helpful as I said in the beginning I plan on writing a book Thanks for your time and God bless.Hope to talk with you soon @{-------- Janet Untill further notice My current address at the moment is P.O. box 626 Brighton, Tn 38011In a few months I will be moving back home to ohio where I am from at which time i will post my new address...Thanks again.

Comments: I was with the 3/22 company C, 25th Infantry. Can anyone as the 25th Historian help me with a reseach project I am doing about a fire fight we were in on 4/7/70 around Tay Ninh and I think it was the Renegade Woods. The 75th Ranges stopped the fight on 4/6/70 and we were sent in on 4/7/70 as blocking force. We lost five great men including a Dustoff pilot out of Tay Ninh. I am trying to find out if the 3/22/C and companies D and E were called in to take over where the Rangers were. I have requested a US Senator to help in getting info from the National Archives but he has not responded by e-mail to me for over a week and I am not sure he will help out. Anyone who knows any details about the fire fight of 4/7/70 would be greatly appreciated. I am gathering info on all five men so that we can pay honor to them with the details of theiri death on to thevirtualwall.org. Thanks

Comments: I served with Company A,35th Inf Regt in Korea from 1950-1951. I was in the Third Platoon and Lt. Charles Walz (deceased) was my Platoon Leader, Sgt Peter Benoit (now a retired major) was my Squad Leader and Sidney B, Berry (now Retired Lt. General) was my Company Commander. Bernard Neel was my foxhole buddy and taught me a lot when I got to Korea. Bernie and I and the General still stay in touch with each other. We've lost contact with Pete and I have tried to locate him with no luck. If anyone out there knows him and knows where he is now, I'd sure love to hear from you. My address is 5536 Plainfield Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21206. I have a block on my e-mail because of all the porn, so it would probably be easier to write to the above address. God bless all of you!!!P.S. This is a fantastic web site.

Comments: My mother and I were talking about my late father's WWII experiences. She reminded me that he had participated in the mustering-out of the Rainbow Brigade (that is what she called it, though I did not see those words in this website.) Dad was shipped from the States to Schoefield Barracks in late 1945 or early 1946. He administered tests and did interviews with the returning troops. Previously, he had been a photographer at Los Alamos. If there are veterans who have recollections of their mustering out, I would be interested in learning more. Thank you.

Because of the fire in 1973 his records were lost and I am trying to retrieve some information about his unit and it's history during this time. He was a Cpl. with Co. D. of the 27th (Wolfhounds Reg.) and his ser. # is 6 954 666. I know he was decorated for combat in Luzon, Guadalcanal, and Northern Solomons but, there are few details and no records at my desposal. Any assistance you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank You - Robert Gowin

I was with Recon 1/35 in 67 and I myself have to look around for info. Even though we served with the 25th and the 4th there is very little noted about that early 3rd Brigade on either site, I am sure the original 4th Div 3rd Brigade gets the same treatment. I find more info on the Shark and Dolphin site and Rattler site than I do on either of the Div sites. The Americal gives us more also. But we were the Bastard Brigade.

Comments: I served with both Co. A, 2/27th Wolfhounds, and D Trp. 3/4 Cav.at Cu Chi. I was with the Wolfhounds from July, '66 until about March, '67, then transferred to the 3/4 Cav where I stayed until my DROS in February, '68, right after the Tet Offensive. In the Wolfhounds, I started out as a Pfc Rifleman in the 3rd Platoon, then took an opening as an OJT Company Clerk to replace the clerk who was about to rotate. My claim to fame as a clerk for the Wolfhounds was co-authoring the Medal of Honor citation for Captain Robert Foley, who was awarded this medal for his actions during Operation Attleboro on Nov. 5, '66. Capt. Foley is now a Major General in D.C. and was still active as of this time last year.In the 3/4 Cav, I served as a "Centaur" doorgunner on a Huey gunship, known as a "Hog." It had an M-5 grenade launcher on the nose, (the same 40mm projectile as fired from an M-79 Grenade Launcher), and rocket pods on each side, carrying a maximum of 24, 2.75 in. rockets each. I'd like to hear from anyone who served with the Wolfhounds or Centaurs, especially those I may have known during my time in-country.

Comments: Worked with you guys in 68-69; you guys were great. i was with stinger gunships out of cu chi-the one with the miniguns. would be interested in hearing from anyone in the fight against the NVA regiment march 4, 69; 27 machine guns captured and they were all shooting at us at one time! if you were there you saw us go in firing 8000 rounds per minute and even more coming back up. whoever was your commander that day sure was smart, could have been a disaster!

Comments: I was a sixty gunner in A Co. 3rd Plt 4th Bn 22nd INF from june 92 to Dec 95. While there I recieved the EIB, and Air Assault wings. I'm almost embarrased to write in this guestbook because I could never live up to the gentlemen listed here. But because these men have made this the great division that it is, I would be foolish not to stake what small claim I have to it. "Regulars By god!"
